Preparation time:
15 minutes and 25 minutes in the oven
Ingredients dough:
- 250 g flour
- 20 g sugar
- 30 g butter in pieces
- pinch of salt
- ¼ glass of water
Recipe:
- Knead the ingredients into a dough ball. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for a while.
- If you have little time, you can also opt for slices of butter puff pastry (approx. 5 pieces).
Ingredients filling:
- Filling: 6 firm apples e.g. Jonagold • 70 g sugar
- 35 g butter
- Pinch of cinnamon
Recipe filling:
- Caramelize the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is light brown.
- Add the butter and cinnamon and stir briefly.
- Pour this mixture into a greased cake tin and place the apple slices on top.
- Roll out the dough (or stick the sheets of butter puff pastry together) and drape it over the apples.
- Poke a number of holes in the dough and bake the Tarte Tatin for 25 minutes at 180 to 200°C.
