Preparation time:

15 minutes and 25 minutes in the oven

Ingredients dough:

  • 250 g flour
  • 20 g sugar
  • 30 g butter in pieces
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ glass of water

Recipe:

  • Knead the ingredients into a dough ball. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for a while.
  • If you have little time, you can also opt for slices of butter puff pastry (approx. 5 pieces).

Ingredients filling:

  • Filling: 6 firm apples e.g. Jonagold • 70 g sugar
  • 35 g butter
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Recipe filling:

  • Caramelize the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is light brown.
  • Add the butter and cinnamon and stir briefly.
  • Pour this mixture into a greased cake tin and place the apple slices on top.
  • Roll out the dough (or stick the sheets of butter puff pastry together) and drape it over the apples.
  • Poke a number of holes in the dough and bake the Tarte Tatin for 25 minutes at 180 to 200°C.
