Exact 10 years ago in 3 days, that the MH17 was shot out of the air with a Buck rocket above Ukraine and Russian border. Mister Bart was my daughter’s teacher on his way to vacation with his girlfriend to Australia. He was the break he so much needed.
I think about Bart’s family and friends at the moment, as also his spouses. My wife Cristel is reading the book, written by Bart’s colleague Joost. Thank you Joost!
We will never forget you Bart. Hope you have a chance to look down and see our respect for you. Rest in peace…
The war in Ukraine was an immediate fact and still is. 10 years after your death the peace is not back yet. It gets even bigger tension in politics internationally. Russia with centuries of relationships with Europe, even with cross marriages between the kings/queens and emperors completely vanished.
I have read War and Peace of Leopold Tolstoy 3 times. Ana Karina I read 2 times from the same writer. Centuries have been gone, by one event, changing the minds and hearts of many Dutch politicians and citizens, after an act of war.
Russians are not bad people. They have warms hearts and their emotional intelligence is very high in general. What we see it macro economic powers and politics. Nobody votes for war.
That makes you officially a COW (casualty of war)… but that does not change anything. What helps is that we all think about you!
